New law for the City of Bucharest. Candidates 2012

The project of a new law for the City of Bucharest, promoted by PDL, is in public debate. The law would eventually change the administrative and power structure of the capital city, by eliminating the six elected mayors for the sectors of Bucharest and replacing them with members of the General Council, nominated by the General Mayor, and voted by the 55 counselors.

Within the last weeks DEW representatives had intense dialog with possible candidates for the position of General Mayor of Bucharest, some of them directly affected by this unfair law project.
