The project of a new law for the City of Bucharest, promoted by PDL, is in public debate. The law would eventually change the administrative and power structure of the capital city, by eliminating the six elected mayors for the sectors of Bucharest and replacing them with members of the General Council, nominated by the General Mayor, and voted by the 55 counselors.
